Peshmerga forces liberate 4 villages north of Mosul, killing 28 ISIS elements

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, an official in the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) announced, that 28 ISIS elements were killed in an attack by the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, resulting in the liberation of four villages north of Mosul.

The KDP media official in Mosul, Said Mimozini said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Peshmerga forces launched a massive attack on an area in Wana district, north of Mosul, which resulted in killing 28 ISIS elements and destroying several machines and equipment.”

Mimozini added, “The attack was backed by the international coalition aircrafts,” asserting that, “The Peshmerga regained control over the villages of Tel Thahab, Kafraj , Hassan Jala and Sheikha east of Mosul Dam.”

Mimozini stated, “These forces are constantly advancing to liberate the rest of the Nineveh province.”
