Policeman killed, officer wounded in armed attack in eastern Baghdad
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi police announced on Tuesday, that a police member has been killed while a police officer was wounded in an armed attack that targeted their patrol in eastern Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for iraqiNews.com: “unknown gunmen driving a car opened fire at noon against a police patrol near the building of the Faculty of Administration and Economics in al-Talibiya district in eastern Baghdad, killing one policeman and wounding an officer.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “The elements of the patrol transferred the injured to a nearby hospital and the body of the dead to the forensic medicine department.”
