Rare monuments found in Karrada, Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) A source in the Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that a force of the ministry intelligence has found a large quantity of rare monuments in Karrada district in central Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, a force within the intelligence of the Interior Ministry found a large quantities of rare monuments in Rusafa area, while inspecting Karrada district in central Baghdad.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “The force handed the monuments to the National Museum,” without giving further details.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior announced on March 26th, the seizure of 207 different artifacts being smuggled northern of Nasiriyah in Dhi Qar province.
