Security forces blockade Tikrit city from three directions

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the security forces have managed to blockade the city of Tikrit from three directions.

The source informed interview, “Security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia fighters have managed to blockade Tikrit from three directions in the north, south and west,” pointing out that, “The east has been blocked when ISIS militants blew up the Tikrit-Alam Bridge on that side.”

“The forces are now controlling the areas of al-Tin and parts of al-Muqdasiyah neighborhood in northern Tikrit and al-Dayoom area in western Tikrit,” the source also added.
