Security forces liberate areas east of Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) The Security Committee of Salahuddin Provincial Council announced Tuesday, the liberation of a number of areas east of Tikrit, by the security forces that are now approaching al-Alam district east of the city.
Committee chairman Jassim al-Jabara informed IraqiNews.com, “The military units managed today to liberate Tar Krish area east of Tikrit along of other areas east of the city.”
Al-Jabara added, “The petroleum fields of Alas and Ajil have become close to the security forces after the liberation of those areas,” pointing out that, “The security forces are now approaching al-Alam district east of Tikrit.”
