Security forces retake strategic village in Baiji District, says Defense Ministry

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Saturday, Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced, that the Iraqi security forces managed to take back a strategic village in the district of Baiji in north of Tikrit.

The ministry said in a statement aired by ‘al-Iraqiyah’ TV channel, “The security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia fighters managed to liberate the village of al-Ba’aiji in the district of Baiji,” adding that, “The village is considered as one of the strategic villages in Baiji District.”
