Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source in the Iraqi Police declared that dozens were either killed or wounded in several blasts that hit different areas of Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported on Wednesday.

The source said, “An improvised explosive device exploded near a popular market in al-Nahrawan area, southeast of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding three others.”

“Another bomb exploded near al-Sena’i neighborhood in al-Aamel area, east of Baghdad, injuring two persons,” the source added on condition of anonymity.

Earlier today, A civilian died and three others were wounded when an explosive device went off near a cattle market in Shatt al-Taji area, in northern Baghdad.

The capital, Baghdad is witnessing a surge of violence and several suicide attacks, almost every day, as well as separate attacks against civilians and security members.
