Turkey to send 15 truckloads of military equipment to Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) Turkey announced on Wednesday, that it will 15 truckloads of military equipment to Iraq, confirming that it is training more than 1,500 Peshmerga elements.

The spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry Tango Bagheij said in remarks reported by ‘Anatolia’ and followed by IraqiNews.com, “In this context, Turkey trained a thousand and 511 of Kurdish Peshmerga elements, in addition to sending 15 truckloads of military equipment to Iraq.”

Bagheij added, “The Turkish Minister of Defense confirmed, during his meetings with Iraqi officials as part of his recent visit to Iraq, Turkey’s intelligence and logistical support for Iraq in its war against ISIS.”
