U.S.-led strike kills dozens of ISIS elements, including top leaders in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, an intelligence source in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense said, that several ISIS leaders have been killed in an air strike by the international coalition warplanes in Mosul.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “This evening, warplanes of the U.S.-led international coalition have carried out an air strike on a gathering site for the ISIS group militants in al-Mosul,” pointing out that, “The air strike resulted in killing dozens of ISIS elements, including some key leaders of different nationalities.”

“The ISIS leader who was responsible for the logistical support in military operations, Abu Mujahid al-Shishani, was reportedly killed in the air strike, along with the governor (Wali) of the so-called Wilayat al-Furat,” the source added.
