URGENT: ISIL terrorists plant many bombs in Tikrit, withdraw from Al Alam district

Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, according to a military source in Salahuddin province, militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant planted improvised explosive devices on most roads in central part of Tikrit city and withdrew from Al Alam district located to the the east of the city, noting that ISIL inserted bombs in the bridge which links Tikrit and Al Alam.

The source said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “the militants of ISIL inserted bombs today in most roads of the center of Tikrit, including Saddam Street, Flower Street and Fortieth Avenue,” adding that they “withdrew from  Al Alam District in the east of Tikrit.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added that “the center of Tikrit is almost free of insurgents.”
