URGENT: Kurdish Peshmerga and tribal forces liberate Zammar district in Nineveh Province

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, The leader of the Kurdistan Alliance Mahma Khalil announced the liberalization of Zammar district and several areas in the Nineveh Plain from the organization ISIS, emphasizing that the security forces and the Peshmerga are advancing towards the axis of Sinjar-Rabia.

Khalil said in an interview for Iraqinews.com that “today, the security forces, the Peshmerga and tribal fighters were able of cleansing the area of Zammar in the west of Mosul and several areas in the Nineveh Plain from the control of the organization ISIS,” adding that “now, Zammar enjoys stability. The Peshmerga are progressing towards the axis Sinjar-Rabia to liberate city of Mosul entirely. ”
