Urgent – .Official at MoE survives assassination

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Director general at the Ministry of Electricity survived an assassination attempt by silenced handguns to the northwest of Baghdad.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Unidentified gunmen opened fire from silenced guns targeting Jum’a Mahmoud, the director general within the MoE, during his passage through a highway near Shula neighborhood of northwestern Baghdad. The incident resulted in injuring him.”

“The gunmen fled to unknown destination after implementing the attack, while the police transported the injured to a hospital for treatment,” the source added.
