(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – Member of Diyali Provincial Council, Karim Abdullah, announced on Tuesday the seizure of three main headquarters belonging to the ISIS during a security operation northeast of Baqubah.

Abdullah said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “al-Hashed al-Asha’ri [militia] of Jabour tribe, [located] in the area of Sharwin, (37 km northeast of Baqubah) conducted an operation, in coordination with the security forces, in the depth of al-Zour area (40 km northeast of Baqubah),” asserting that, “al-Hashed [militia] succeeded in seizing three main headquarters for ISIS.”

The statement added, “The ISIS militants escaped and did not confront the raiding force.”
