The coach of Iraqi football team Akram Salman resigns
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Football Union announced on Tuesday that the coach of the national football team Akram Salman submitted his resignation to the union, pointing out that the latter decided to exempt the assistant coaching staff of the national team, confirming that a committee will formed to name a foreign coach.
Union’s member Faleh Moussa said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The national team coach Akram Salman resigned from the leadership of the national team in World Cup qualifier Russia in 2018,” pointing out that, “the Union discussed the resignation during a meeting today and decided to accept the resignation of the coach.”
“The Union also decided to exempt the technical staff composed of the assistant Nizar Ashraf and Imad Hashem, a technical committee will be formed for the selection of a foreign coach in order to complete the task,” Moussa added.
