Ministry aims for gas self-sufficiency

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Oil on Sunday said that it is moving forward with plans to achieve gas self-sufficiency in the country through the production of 12 million liters a day. “The ministry has given instructions with regards to the distribution of oil derivatives in provinces and a plan to increase production and reach self-sufficiency…,” a ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency quoted an undersecretary of state for distribution affairs, Motasem Akram, as saying.
