Baghdad (Iraqi News) The U.S. Department of State announced that it counts on continuing Geneva talks and expanding the de-escalation zones in Syria, Syria News reported on Saturday.

An official source in the department informed that the U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will discuss the Syrian affair among other important issues during his upcoming tour, which is expected to take place next week in a number of European countries.

The Syrian affair is a very important issue, the source added. The main goal is to draw the attention of our Russian partners to Geneva talks, as well as expanding the very successful experiment of the de-escalation zones, he explained.
