(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – ISIS elements in Libya were able to entirely control the Libyan city of Sirte, according to the announcement of the American Center “SITE”.

Officials in the Libyan city of Tripoli confirmed that “the extremist organization has allied with the supporters of Muammar Gaddafi to participate in the attack on sectors in Sirte, including oil fields.”

For its part, ISIS announced on Tuesday evening its control over the city of Sirte, which had previously dominated its airport at the end of last May, as well as a nearby thermal power plant, according to the American Center “SITE”.
