(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad-The White House announced on Saturday the killing of a senior leader of ISIS called Abu Sayyaf  in U.S raid in Syria, while pointed to the detention of his wife, confirming that the operation was carried out under the guidance of US President Barack Obama.

The White House said in a statement reported by “Reuters” and followed by IraqiNews.com, “The US special forces carried out a raid inside Syria, killing a leading figure in ISIS called Abu Sayyaf”, pointing out that the latter “had helped to guide ISIS operations relating to financial affairs, oil and gas.”

“President Barack Obama had ordered the raid that killed Abu Sayyaf,” pointing out that “his wife was arrested in the raid and transferred to a military prison in Iraq. “.” The White House added.
