2 cops killed, 13 persons injured in Baghdad blasts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen have been killed and 13 persons, including a policemen, injured in a booby-trapped car and explosive charge blasts in central and northern Baghdad on Tuesday, a security source reported. “A booby-trapped car, driven by a suicide bomber, blew up alongside an explosive charge that detonated in central and northeastern Baghdad on Tuesday night, targeting a police patrol, killing 2 cops, wounding another and 3 civilians, the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said the first attack took place in central Baghdad‘s Kahramana Square and the other in northeast Baghdad‘s Husseiniya district, wounding 9 civilians.Police forces cordoned off the venues of the attacks, searching for the attackers.
