2 demonstrations in Tahreer Square

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Security sources in Baghdad stated that tens of Baghdadi citizen demonstrated today, Friday, in Tahreer Square, to praise the verdict against the killers of Dijail wedding massacre, while a second demonstration marched demanding eradication of corruption and unemployment. The source told IraqiNews.com that the demonstrators hailed the role of the security forces in combating terrorism. The Central Criminal Court issued a death verdict for the criminals of Dijail massacre. The spokesman of the Higher Legislature Council Abdul Sattar Beiraqdar stated to semi-official Iraqiyah TV that the court made its sentence with death penalty for the 15 criminals. Many calls demanded the execution of the killers. The victim’s families demanded the death penalty for the killers who murdered 70 persons in a wedding parade in 2006.  On the other hand, another demonstration took place calling for the eradication of financial and administrative corruption and not limiting the right for expression. Premier Nouri Al-Maliki set a 100-day time table for evaluating the governmental achievement, which will put the government before difficult choices , if the citizens feel there were no tangible progress in all dossiers, particularly the services one. 550
