2 issues demanded of Maliki for trip to Kuwait – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Premier Maliki has been demanded to discuss Kuwaiti Mubarak Terminal and Kuwaiti violation of Iraqi territorial waters, an Iraqi Foreign Relations Parliamentary Commission MP disclosed. “These are the main topics demanded for discussion during Premier Nouri al-Maliki’s coming visit to Kuwait,” MP Hssan Khudhair told IraqiNews.com . “We demanded to these two questions be resolved permanently through diplomatically channels”, he confirmed. The Commission “did not insert the dossier of Iraqi killed soldiers during 1991”, pointing out that “there are many pending issues between the two sides,” he added. On Sunday, White Bloc MP Alia Nsaif demanded that the the dossier of “Kuwaiti killings of Iraqi soldiers following their power control in 1991” be released. The former Iraqi conquered Kuwait on 2 August 1990, which was met by international condemnation.The attack was followed by plundering Kuwaiti governmental and private properties. On 6 August 1990, the United Nations issued its resolution no.661 and imposed strict economic sanctions against Iraq that paved the way to international military intervention and expelling the Iraqi army from there. 2687
