2 Peshmerga arrested in Syria crossed accidentally – spokesman

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A Kurdish Peshmerga ministry spokesman disclosed today that the two Kurdish soldiers arrested in Syria had crossed into Syrian territories by mistake. The two Peshmerga soldiers accidentally crossed into Syrian soil last Monday, and are still being held in detention on the Syrian side. Spokesman Jabbar Yawar added that the Iraqi defense and foreign ministries were informed accordingly to exert efforts to release them. No other details were given.
