(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Director of the Prime Minister’s office Mahdi al-Alaq announced on Wednesday the arrival of 40 tons of medical supplies to Baghdad International Airport from the State of Kuwait, noting that these materials will be distributed to displaced people in five provinces.

al-Alaq said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Baghdad International Airport received today a plane coming from Kuwait loaded with 40 tons of medical assistance allocated for Iraq.”

“These materials are part of a campaign entitled “Kuwait by your side”,” noting that, “they will be distributed to displaced people in five provincess: Karbala, Babil, Baghdad, Anbar and Salahuddin,” al-Alaq added.

The Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed on Wednesday (27 May 2015) his country’s support for the government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, expressing his concern over the developments in the security situation in Iraq.
