Absence of planning behind high unemployment rate, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ashwaq Al-Jaff of the Kurdistani Alliance assured that “The absence of a strategic plan for eliminating corruption was the main reason for not solving the problem of unemployment,” considering “postponement of the Federal Service Council as a big mistake.”

She said in a statement to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) Wednesday that “The file of unemployment will remain heavy in absence of a strategic plan to eliminate corruption.”

Al-Jaff added that “In Kurdistan Region, small percentage of unemployment has been eliminated through considering the service in the private sector which encouraging young people to work in the private sector.”

She noted that “The security situation has a significant impact on encouraging the investments and thus provide jobs for young men.”

She explained that “The Federal Service Council is of great importance in the elimination of unemployment and I think that the postponement of its own law legislation is a big mistake.”
