Abtan demands Education Ministry to follow up delay in building schools in Najaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Hussein Abtan of the Citizen Bloc within the Iraqi national Alliance demanded the Iraqi Government and the Education Ministry to follow up the delay of a Turkish Company in constructing several schools in Najaf province.

MP Abtan from Najaf province said in a press conference held at the Parliament Building attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “Seven buildings of Primary Schools in Mishkhab district of southern Najaf province have been demolished by a Turkish Company which has contracted with the Ministry of Education to replace these building by new school buildings to be accomplished before the start of the School year,” noting that “The company demolished the old school buildings and sold the remaining of the building and left the work site.”

“The Government and the Education Ministry should realize the reasons behind this dilatory since the pupils of those demolished schools do not have any other place to go for study,” Abtan concluded.
