Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The spokeswoman of the Syrian President, Bouthaina Shaaban, denied that she had said that some Iraqi politicians had asked the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to allow what she called Jihadists to enter into Iraq.

A site for the Iraqi Islamic Party quoted Shaaban as saying, in a video, that she denies the statements by some media circles, attributed to her saying that some Iraqi politicians asked the Syrian regime to allow gunmen and terrorists to enter into Iraq.

She said “These statements are incorrect in terms of form and content that some Iraqi politicians had asked Assad to allow militants to enter into Iraq, adding that it is shame to any journalist to invent statements and put them on the lips of people.”
