Ahrar Bloc, Citizen Bloc discuss political crisis in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A delegation from the Ahrar Parliamentary Bloc, headed by MP Baha al-Araji and membership of MP Amir al-Kinani, MPM Jawad al-Shihaili, MP Hasan al-Jubouri, MP Abdul Sattar al-Bayati and MP Amira al-Saadi, met with the Head of the Citizen Parliamentary Bloc, Baqir Jabur al-Zubaidi, and discussed with him the political crisis in Iraq and its reflection on the security scene in the country as well as discussing the Syrian case and its effects on the Iraqi situation and the region in general.

A statement by Ahrar Bloc to Iraqi News quoted MP Araji as saying “Both sides discussed the reforms process which should start from inside the Iraqi National coalition and then to strengthen the Iraqi National Alliance since the INC represent the legal origin for the State of Law and the INA.”

“We also discussed the issue of the important law drafts such as the Federal Court law draft, IHEC draft law as well as Oil and Gas draft law which should be considered the pillars for building the Iraqi State so these law drafts should be endorsed as soon as possible,” he added.

“We also reviewed the performance of the Parliament during the former period and identified the defects that should be amended during the current legislative term,” MP Araji mentioned, stressing that “We agreed to continue exchanging meetings and visits in order reach a better settlement for the current crisis for the benefit of Iraq.”
