Ahrar bloc delegation, Samarai stress on rejecting calls of sectarian purposes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A delegation of al-Ahrar bloc, headed by Baha al-Araji, comprising Amir al-Kinani, Ali al-Timimi and Jawad al-Jobouri, has visited the head of the Sunni Endowment, Ahmed Abdul Ghafoor al-Samari, in Um al-Qura Mosque on Wednesday night.

Araji stated “The political crisis in Iraq and the means of settling it were discussed in the meeting in addition to the regional situations especially the Syrian one and its affects on Iraq.”

“Al-Ahrar bloc belongs to a religious and legislate trend and the Sunni Endowment represent a religious side as well , so we have to make sure that the sectarian sedition in Iraq will not happen again where we agreed on several issues such as requesting the religious figures during the Friday prayers to stress the necessity of brotherhood and unity among the Iraqi people regardless their religion, community and sect,” he added.

“We have also discussed the cries in general and the duties of the Sunni and Shiite Endowment not only in the religious fields, but in the investments also that support the poor families and the orphans,” he pointed out.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation appreciated Samarai’s efforts and his unified attitudes with the Shiite Endowment.
