Ahrar bloc shows reservations towards Infrastructure Law, says Shihili

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Shihili, of Ahrar bloc pointed out that “We have reservations concerning the Infrastructure Law but we will support this law if our reservations are considered.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Among the important reservations that we have are to distribute the projects among the Ministries rather than the sectors and there should be time limits for the financial interest in addition to a time limit for the payments.”

“The Premiership must promise to supervise these projects to avoid dilatory and unqualified contracts,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has attended the parliament session to discuss the infrastructure law draft where he expressed his surprise over the objection of some blocs over this law draft, but he admitted some corruption cases to be involved with this law draft.
