Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The results of the Provincial Councils elections that are announced by the Independent High Electoral Commission showed that nine of the former governors have won in the elections.

Four of the former governors from the State of Law Coalition who are Salah Abdul Razzaq, the governor of Baghdad, Mahdi al-Zubaidi, the governor of Wasit, Ibrahim al-Mayali, the governor of Muthana and Khalaf Abdul Samad Khalaf, the governor of Basra.

Mohammed al-Masoudi, the governor of Babel from the Citizens bloc and Adnan al-Zuarfi, the governor of Najaf from Wafa for Najaf have also won in the elections.

The governor of Diyala, Omer al-Jouburi, and the governor of Salah il-Din, Ahmed al-Jouburi, have also won in the elections.

It is worth mentioning that the former governors of Karbala, Thi Qar and Diwaniyah did not win in the elections.
