Al-Adeeb discusses facilitating Iraqi students study in Canada

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Higher Education Minister discussed with the Canadian ambassador to Baghdad procedures to accept Iraqi students in Canadian universities. In a statement issued by the ministry, both sides discussed possibilities of reducing the educational fees, particularly in the medical and engineering faculties. Iraqi Education Minister Ali al-Adeeb disclosed the intention of the ministry to send 10,000 students to study abroad to meet the needs of the country to different specializations. He added that the ministry has the intention to cooperate with Canada to train researchers and modernizing universities’ curricula. On his side, the Canadian ambassador expressed the readiness of his country to facilitate the acceptance of Iraqi students. 354
