Al-Iraqiya Coalition’s MP says it received reassuring messages from PM Maliki to settle suspended dossiers

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A Leader in al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by Iyad Allawi, has said on Tuesday that his Coalition had received reassuring messages from Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, that the meeting, scheduled to convene at the residence of President Jalal Talabani later in the day to “be decisive.”   “Al-Iraqiya Coalition has received reassuring messages from the State of Law Coalition, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and the Prime Minister himself, confirming that all leaders of Political Blocs, would attend the Tuesday meeting, which shall be decisive to settle all the suspended dossiers and complete the articles of Arbil Agreement, including the nomination of security Cabinet ministers and to settle the issue of the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP),” Talal Zubae told IraqiNews.com news agency.   North Iraq Kurdistan Region’s President, Massoud Barzani, had launched his so-called Arbil Agreement, to settle the political crisis in the background of the formation of the Iraqi government on Sept. 16 th last, including the formation of an 8-12 member committee, comprising representatives of the Political Blocs, to start talks in order to settle their suspended differences, the discussion of the formation of a government of national-partnership, along with the issue of the Three Leading Presidencies, the Iraqi Presidency, the Cabinet and the Parliament.   Zubae said that al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, “does not wish to hold the post of NCSP’s chairmanship, which he might shift for any other al-Iraqiya member,” charging certain parties he did not name, with “trying to keep al-Iraqiya and the State of Law Coalitions, away from each other,” whilst al-Iraqiya “is determined to attend the meeting, stemming from serving the national interest.”   SKH (RT) 5103
