Al-Iraqiya Leader’s position towards PM Maliki represents its position – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The statement by al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, against Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and his al-Daawa Party, represents the position of al-Iraqiya, its Legislature, Mohammed al-Khalidy said on Saturday, adding that the statement won’t undermine the initiative of Kurdistan President, Massoud Barzani.   “Dr. Iyad Allawi, the Chairman of al-Iraqiya Bloc and his statements, represent all components of the bloc,” Khalidy told IraqiNews.com news agency.  “Allawi cannot make such statements, without consulting al-Iraqiya members, althoug we don’t want such statements to be made public, because they shall lead for further tensions,” he added.    Khalidy said that “the leaders of the political blocs must act with wisdom during the current phase, because the problem is too large and tension shall not serve the interests of all parties,” adding that such statements “won’t undermine Barzani’s initiative, because they represent a natural thing in a democratic country.”   The Legislature for the National Coalition, Abbas Hmoud, had expressed surprise for the statement of al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, against al-Daawa Party and its Leader, Prime Minister Maliki, expressing intention to raise a judicial case against Allawi for his attacks against al-Daawa Party.   Al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, had launched a strong attack against al-Daawa Party and its Leader, Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, charging the latter with “lying, hypocray and deception, and saying that Maliki had depended on the foreigner and Iran to become prime minister.   SKH (TR)/SR 420
