Al-Sadr condemns burning Turkish flag
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader of the Sadr Trend Muqtada al-Sadr described burning the Turkish flag in Basra as a “big mistake.”
In response to a question raised by his followers over his opinion towards those who burn the flags of the neighboring countries, including the Turkish flag, Muqtada al-Sadr said “This is a big mistake and mere irrational policy.”
Dozens of citizens have demonstrated on May 19th, in front of the Turkish Consulate in Basra and burnt the Turkish flag to protest the Turkish interferences in Iraqi affairs and hosting the judicially wanted Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi.
