Alewi describes Maliki, Nijaifi meeting as Positive, fruitful

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Kareem Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance described the meeting that was held between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, as “positive and fruitful.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The meeting is a starting point for creating harmony between the Iraqiya Slate and the INA to settle the crisis that started since the government formation.”

“We did not expect holding such meetings,” he added, noting that “The Committee of the Political Reforms will be able to settle the disputes and the pending issues including the problems with Kurdistan Region and the Iraqiya Slate.”

“I expect future initiatives and solutions for the political process,” he concluded.

Earlier, Nijaifi met, at his office, the PM Maliki accompanied by a delegation from the Iraqi National Alliance.
