Allaq: Security forces responsible for protecting holy shrines

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Religious Endowments Committee confirmed that “The security forces are responsible of the protection of the holy shrines.”

The head of the Committee, Ali al-Allaq, stated to IraqiNews.com “The protection of the religious sacred places is among the responsibilities of the security forces.”

“We also need a social effort to urge all sides to spread the notions of religious tolerance and neglecting violence through the conferences and seminars to exclude the fundamental figures,” he stressed.

There are concerns over attempts to target the holy shrines amid continuous terrorist attacks that target the citizens all over the country.
