Allawi arrives in Najaf to meet Sistani

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: Head of the Iraqi National List Iyad Allawi on Wednesday arrived on Wednesday in Najaf to meet top Shiite cleric Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, a local police chief said. “Allawi arrived in Najaf on Wednesday (Feb. 11) to meet top Shiite cleric Sayyid Ali al-Sistani,” Abdul Karim al-Aameri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Allawi was received by Deputy governor, Abdul Hussein al-Abtan,” he added.
