Allawi denies adopting dictatorship in dealing with IS members

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, described “The Reforms Proposal as not serious,” confirming that “The Sadr Trend is participating in the attempt of investigating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

In a special statement to IraqiNews.com, Allawi said “The main part in Erbil Agreement is the political reforms but I do not know about the new reforms prepared by the Reforms Committee within the Iraqi National Alliance.”

“We will support INA if it applies the reforms, otherwise we will go on in our constitutional right to investigate the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki,” he added.

“The reports over the Sadr Trend withdrawal from the attempt of investigating Maliki are groundless yet the Sadr Trend withdrew only from the Reforms Committee,” he confirmed.

“The IS will continue its national performance firmly to practice democracy in its clear form,” he mentioned.

“IS continues its respect for the political allies including the Sadr Trend and the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council as well as the Kurds in addition to a number of national figures,” he continued.

Over accusations of some former IS members who split from the Slate, he pointed out “I did not adopt dictatorship in dealing with the members of the Slate,” noting that “During the last six months I was abroad.”
