Allawi Movement’s members in Dhi-Qar withdraw

Dhi-Qar (IraqiNews.com) Nine of the National Accord Movement, headed by Ayad Allawi, in Dhi-Qar province announced their withdrawal from the Movement and joining Accord for Change Movement.

Spokesperson for the withdrawal members Yasir al-Azraqi said in a press conference attended by IraqiNews.com’s reporter on Thursday “We decided to secede from Allawi’s movement to join the Accord for Change Movement, which includes those members who have already withdrew from Allawi’s movement.”

“This decision comes because the Accord Movement and the Iraqiya Slate have cooperated with those sides creating troubles and disputes in Iraq and stand against holding the Summit in Baghdad,” he added.

Many members of the NAM, headed by Ayad Allawi, in provinces of Najaf, Dhi-Qar, Basra, Babel and Wassit have declared their withdrawal from Allawi’s movement.

They have held a conference in Najaf on February 3rd to establish a new political movement in the country.
