Allawi responds to calls for meeting

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Leader of al-Iraqiya Bloc, Iyad Allawi, has responded to an invitation by Iraq’s President Jalal Talabani, to attend the meeting of the Leaders of the Political Forces on Saturday, an al-Iraqiya Member said.   “Al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, has headed to attend the meeting of the Leaders of the Political Forces, called by President, Jalal Talabani,” Intisar Allawi told IraqiNews.com news agency.   She gave no further information, but said, “I hope that the conferees would achieve positive results, that would satisfy all parties.”   The meeting, called by President Talabani, is scheduled to discuss the suspended dossiers and differences among al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by Iyad Allawi, and the State of Law Coalition, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, as well as the issue of  trimming down the Iraqi Cabinet and the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq.   SKH (TS)/SR 392
