Alwani: Political sides behind increasing attempts of riot in prisons

“The prisons must be a rehabilitation place for the prisoners rather than torture places,” he added, assuring that “The reports of the Human Rights in the world all confirm that there are breaches in the Iraqi prisons such as corruption or extortion in addition to the torture.”

He called the “Ministry of the Human Rights to increase the efforts to follow up the situation of the prisoners in the Iraqi prisons.”
