Amr Moussa condemns Baghdad attacks

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa on Wednesday condemned the recent attacks in Baghdad warning against the deterioration of security condition in Iraq, according to an official statement of the Arab League. “Amr Moussa condemned the series of deadly attacks in several parts of Baghdad yesterday, warning against the deterioration of security condition in Iraq in case these acts of violence continued,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. He called on all Iraqi politicians to unify ranks, favor the national interest and patch up differences, urging them to speed up the formation of the new government to help dealing with the security deterioration in the country. Baghdad had witnessed on Tuesday night a serious unprecedented security deterioration through attacks by booby-trapped cars, explosive charges and sticky bombs, that caused 64 people killed and 360 others wounded, according to an official result announced by the Iraqi Health Ministry. Security responded by imposing a curfew and closing all roads into the Iraqi capital as a precautionary measure to avoid further attacks. SH (P) 1
