Arab-Latin American summit kicks off in Doha

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The 2 nd Arab-Latin American Summit on Tuesday opened in the Qatari capital Doha with the participation of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and several leaders. The summit began with a speech by Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. The 1 st Arab-Latin American summit was held in Brazil on May 11, 2005, with the Iraqi and Palestinian issues topping the agenda. The summit ended with a vow to work together to promote economic growth and to alleviate poverty.
