Araji accuses Maliki’s Coalition of exploiting public money on electoral propaganda

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Baha al-Araji, head of the parliament Ahrar bloc accused the State of Law Coalition headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, of exploiting the public money in the electoral propaganda.

Araji told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “All the leading figures of the SLC were there in Basra where I saw buses carrying the name of Defense Ministry and other carrying the name of the Transportation Ministry, along with exploiting Basra Sports City which is not inaugurated yet for the electoral propaganda by the SLC.”

“There were also 10000 bodyguards for the officials whom their expenses were taken from the state money in addition to the logistic things,” he added stressing “This is an exploitation of the public money.”

Araji confirmed that “The electoral propagandas must be funded by the political parties not by the citizens’ moneys.”
