Asadi urges to follow legal procedures in fighting corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hussein al-Asadi of the State of Law Coalition criticized some MPs who announce existence of corruption cases in the governmental institutions before referring the case to the Commission of Integrity, considering this issue as a “slander” and it is the right of the other side to “sue the slanderer.”

Asadi added “If any MP discovers indications of corruption for any official side then he must inform the inspector General in the ministry or the Integrity Commission rather than declare it through the media outlets before verifying it by the concerned legal sides.”

“Unfortunately some MPs resort to the media and declare that they have files of corruption that convict certain figure without taking legal methods,” he concluded.
