Atroshi: Erbil Monday meeting to be followed by extended meetings

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) MP, Farhad al-Atroshi, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out “Erbil meeting, which was held on Monday, discussed the issues that appeare after the end of the two time limits given to the Iraqi National Alliance to replace the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.”

“The meeting, which was attended by the leaders of the Iraqiya Slate, the KA and the Sadr Trend, discussed the current political crises and the means to settle them,” he added.

“Extended meetings will follow in the next two days which may be attended by the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi,” he concluded.

A source from the meeting stated to IraqiNews.com “The meeting was attended by the President of the Kurdistani Alliance, Masoud Barzani, the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, and a delegation from Sadr Trend involved the Spokesman of the Trend, Salah al-Ubaidi, and Mustafa al-Yaqoubi,” noting that “The meeting was devoted for consultation rather than issuing certain decisions.”
