Bahrain’s demonstrations represent its people’s will, Chairman of Iraq’s National Coalition, says.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – The Chairman of Iraq’s National Coalition, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, has condemned the use of violence against demonstrations in the Gulf state of Bahrain, describing them as “representing the will of its people,” according to a statement issued by his office on Wednesday.   The statement, copy of which dropped in IraqiNews.com news agency, quoted Jaafari as “having condemned the use of violence against the demonstrators in the State of Bahrain, because they represent the will of its people.”   It said that Jaafari had “described the reaction towards the Bahrain demonstrations as a sort of double-treatment by the regional and international circles towards those demonstrations, compared with similar positions towards other countries.”   Jaafari, meanwhile, had also condemned “the foreign interference in Bahrain ’s internal affairs, considering it as undermining its sovereignty, calling on the Arab and international mass media to “commit themselves to vocational and neutral position, in dealing with Barhain’s news.”   Bahrain had been witnessing since Feb. 14 th last, a protest movement, led by a “Shiite majority,” demanding the downfall of its government and the achievement of political reforms.   IT / SKH 618
