Barazani, US delegation discuss mutual relations
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani, discussed with a US delegation the mutual relations and the means of developing them.
A statement by the presidency of Kurdistan Region cited “Barazani received the US charge d’affaires in Iraq, Stephen Bekraft and the US Consul in Kurdistan Region, ALexender Lasarkis after the end of his tasks ask the Consul of the US in Kurdistan Region. “
“During the meeting, the two sides discussed the future of the bilateral relations in addition to the current political crisis, stressing the necessity of following the legal and constitutional ways to settle it,” the statement added.
“For his part, Barazani congratulated the US people for the anniversary of the Independence Day, appreciating Lasaekis’s role in developing the mutual relations, wishing him more success and good luck in next tasks,” the statement pointed out.
Barazani has attended a ceremony, held in the US embassy, for the 236th anniversary of the Independence Day.
