Barzani, Allawi discuss Iraqi, regional updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, discussed the updates in Iraq and the region.

A statement by the Kurdistani Regional Government received by IraqiNews.com cited “Barzani met Allawi at Salah-il-Din resort in Erbil on Wednesday,” noting that “Both sides reviewed the political updates and the consequences of the current crisis on the future of Iraq and means of settling it.”

“Both sides discussed the deteriorated security situation in the light of the series of terrorist attacks that targeted the civilians in many provinces,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Basra, Salah al-Din, Dhi-Qar, Maysan and Nineveh provinces witnessed car bombings that resulted in killing and injuring dozens of citizens on last Sunday.
