Barzani calls to stop bombings for internal consumption – Kurdish movement

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The spokesman of the opposition Kurdish Change Movement described the call of president Masoud Barzani as “for local consumption and to pacify the Kurdish public opinion,” pointing out that “the call is not a solution to the Turkish and Iranian violations of the territories in the region.”   Leading member Mohammed Tawfeeq told IraqiNews.com that “the Kurdish government should press more on the two countries to stop their bombings on the bordering areas.”   “Barzani’s call is for internal consumption and to pacify the Kurdish public opinion and will not affect the Turkish and Iranian governments,” he added.   Barzani called on the federal government to exert efforts to end Turkish and Iranian attacks on the region through diplomatic channels, as stated by the presidency site earlier.   The  site quoted Barzani’s readiness to extend all types of cooperation and coordination via peaceful dialogue to restore the normal situation in the bordering areas.
